In Jyra Hill's Memory

Donation protected
On Friday, January 26,2018, Jyra Hill was killed by a hit and run driver in Kansas City, MO while walking nearby her mom's home to get something to eat. Our family is deeply grieved by this senseless/heinous act  and hope justice will be served once the person who did this is found. Her mother & father are devastated to have to lay their youngest daughter to rest. Jyra's son Jaire, who just turned 8 on January 17th, has to now live life without his mother. She leaves behind 3 older sisters who now have to carry on without her.

Jyra was a vibrant and intelligent young woman. She graduated at the age of 16 from De La Salle High School at the head of her class, where math was her favorite subject.  She had a love for teaching and taught classes during the summer at the Gorman Conservation Discovery Center. She received a four year scholarship grant & attended Penn Valley college with Business as her major. When she found out she was pregnant with Jaire she was elated and decided to put college on hold to raise him with plans to return to finish her degree.

Jyra was an advocate for higher education and had hopes that Jaire would attend college. Our family would like your help in securing a college fund in Jyra's memory for her son Jaire. We would also like to use some of these funds to help with the costs to care for Jaire as well.

Our family appreciates all of your help in adavnce during this very difficult time!
