Volunteering in Fiji

In May, I will be travelling to Fiji as Volunteer with the Think Pacific Foundation for one month. The foundation has been developed to help children and their families in rural areas of Fiji that are living in poverty. There is approximately 75% of Fijian children living in poverty alone. Herby, the project sets out to help through improving their education, sports development and health promotion with the support of the Fijian Government.The Project focuses upon education, sports, aid relief, infrastructure and health.

This opportunity as a volunteer will not only allow me to become apart of a Fijian family and their community  but will make an immense difference to day to day lives. I will be living with a Fijian family and teaching in the local school and immersing  myself in their culture. 

On Saturday 6th April I will be abseiling down the Portland building in Leeds. This will be to raise money for the fantastic trip ahead! 

If anyone is able to make a donation I will be truly grateful for you help in my journey to getting to the islands. The money will go towards school resources, such as pens, paper,  and sports equipment. It will also help contribute to me getting to Fiji in order for me to be apart of making a difference along with other volunteers.
