Are we carrying out our role as Stewards of Creation or failing our Divine Mission?
The Film, Justified: Are We, will explore our symbiotic relationship with the whole of God’s creation. While secular film-makers have produced a wide array of commentaries on the human-animal-earth relationship, Christians are left without an approach to issues like factory farming and land degradation which, at our present times, we can no longer simply ignore. Through the voices of the prophets, saints, and theologians past & present we uncover a path to holiness that has been laid out since the beginning. Through visual cinematography we see this beauty first hand… while also witnessing the result of our missing the mark.
The Message: We have forgotten how to see God’s scared mark in all that exists around us. As a result, the whole of creation is in desperate peril.
The Potential: If 2 billion Christians began to redefine their relationship with our common home based on their faith, the reverberation of positive change would be monumental. Film has the power to awaken hearts. We aim to give a fresh perspective on issues that are rarely, if ever, spoken about within our faith communities. Although geared towards Christians, this film is for everyone who aspires to bring more love, compassion, and mercy into the world.
Funds Needed: Our goal is to begin shooting Summer 2019. We are aiming to raise $15,000 to begin production. All money raised goes directly to making this project a reality and we are committed to: 1.) finding creative ways to keep production costs minimal without comprising paying crew members a just living wage 2.) using refurbished equipment when possible instead of buying new 3.) transparency through authentic relationship to each and every person who supports us.
Incentives: No fee to watch & no licensing fee for a group or church to show it to their members.

Director's Statement: While living between dairy farms in Wisconsin, I came out of church and heard a strong bellowing. It was a mother cow calling for her newly born calf who was taken away & put in a solitary pen. Here was this living being without a mother to lick it, nurture it, love it- and all for what... my love of a latte? That encounter revealed to me how, "God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the strong". I made a promise to that little baby that day to shed light into darkness.
This film is its fulfillment.

Respected environmental activist & musician, Seth Bernard will do Soundtrack Composition. Supporting our vision are individuals/organizations from Protestant, Anglican, Catholic, Orthodox, & Evangelical traditions.
