https://youtu.be/vBIXQ4lFEDw Jamila is a 17 year old girl raising a child on her own, she Lives in Eastleigh Nairobi with absolutely no Government support which forced her to work as a sex worker, this young girls story was published in UK’s channel 4, her story is heartbreaking as she explains why she lives in the red light district of Eastleigh (known for prostitution) which is to help her child survive, she is just one of many teenagers who are falling victims to men from overseas (West) who promise them marriage and a better life just to leave them pregnant and helpless. Jamila’s parents both died and she left the refugee camp for Nairobi in search of better life, please help Jamila live a dignified life, she is a teen mother in a lot of pain, please donate and let’s make a difference in her life.

Who am I?

My names are Fardowsa Abdirahman Omar, I live in Melbourne Australia, Having lived most of my adult life in Nairobi I have worked with vulnerable refugee women for over 4 years am a young Somali woman, a journalist, activist, well-wisher and a believer in humanity.
As soon as the story aired I got in contact with Jamal Osman ( Channel 4 Journalist) after informing him of my intention to start a gofundme campaign for Jamila he gave me her personal contact, I spoke to Jamila over the phone and made her aware of this campaign even before it started, my friendship with Jamila Abdi has grown day after day.
The funds have been raised for Jamila and my goal is to ensure that she receives full ownership of the funds.
How?
The Somali community’s most popular way of receiving money is through the Hawala (money transfer service) when the campaign comes to an end payouts will come directly to my account, from there with a video evidence the money will be sent through the Hawala where Jamila will be provided with a pin to access, There will be a video recording of when Jamila will be receiving the money through the Hawala. During this will be a group of people (friends and the camera crew and journalist) who will be there to protect her safety and ensure that she receives the funding safely.
I hope that this money will help jamila cater for her daily needs and that of her child.
