today I write this, with swollen eyes and an emptiness in our family. This is a warning of Pitbulls. Not that they are bad dogs or dangerous, but the perception.
Owners, there are people out there that hate your dog just because of their reputation. I found this out the hard way, and the sweetest dog and member of our family has paid the ultimate price.
Someone in West Bend, presumably around 7th st, with unjust and disgusting cruelty, poisoned my dog Ruger. Of this, we have exponential proof. He died in my arms this afternoon.
For those that hate pitbulls and think they are dangerous; know this, my 2 year old is going to be devastated that her woof woof is gone. They are not monsters!
A police investigation is underway, but an autopsy must be conducted at our expense. I will not let a monster get away with this just because I do not have $1500.
In feb he had a seizure. Vet said it looked like rat poison. Later my wife found a pill bottle in the backyard. The other two were fine. We watched them. Vet said he may have gotten a mouse or rat that had it in its system.
He had been steadily loosing weight and become more unhealthy since feb.
Today he had a violent seizure. As We were rushing him to hospital, he threw up. He threw up wet, chunky dog food with pills in it. We not only don't feed him that, we have never had it in the house. It was fed to him intentionally. The other two have never had symptoms.
He was targeted because of his breed.
EVERY DIME OVER OUR EXPENSES WILL BE DONATED TO A LOCAL PITBULL RESCUE OR PROGRAM THAT EDUCATES PEOPLE ON THE ACTUAL PERSONALITY OF THESE DOGS. THEY ARE LOVING; THEY ARE NOT MONSTER.
