On the 28th January 2017 Lawrence Vincent (my son) was walking in Balby, Doncaster, South Yorkshire between 5pm and 5.30pm Saturday when he was attacked and nearly murdered by a gang of hooded thugs. They used a brick on his head, repeatedly kicked him in the face and beat him so bad he had to have a CT scan for a suspected fractured skull. They stole a bracelet worth £1,000 and a heavy gold belcher chain and left him for dead. They carried on kicking and punching him as he screamed for help and stamped on his hands to try and remove his rings. He will never be the same man again.
South Yorkshire Police presented a very weak investigation and a plethora of missed investigative opportunities which resulted in termination of proceedings by the Crown Prosecution. They utterly failed in the most basic of unwritten contracts. To protect and serve. They are now being investigated by the IPCC.
These criminals are actively involved in Assault, Drugs Trafficking, Drug Taking, Illegal Weapons, Property Damage, Theft, Malicious Communications, Organised Fighting, Robbery, Grand Theft Auto, The LOT!!! They terrorize our local community but now it stops. In my opinion they crossed a line into truly adult crime that is deserved of a lengthy incarceration. What we want to do
Due to the inaction and hopeless inefficiency of SYP the case was terminated by the Crown Prosecution. Even with incriminating, prosecuting evidence. We have appealed this however it is very rare the CPS revoke a decision. We want to mount our own criminal private prosecution (without government agencies) and get these criminals in court, sentenced and incarcerated. The costs can range from £6000-£10,000 depending on the complexity of the case.
I appreciate that to ask for financial help like this from strangers is a disconcerting feeling however as a family we have been utterly destroyed by these criminals. We want them behind bars where they belong.
Lawrence’s 4 year old son still draws pictures of dead people saying ‘this is daddy’ because of witnessing his Father in such a horrendous state. We cannot remove the memories of what happened but we can with your help get justice through a Private Prosecution. Please help if you can. We’ve been let down by our Police Force, we’ve been let down by the Judicial System but I truly believe when good people come together anything is possible.
All funds will go towards the filing and running of a Private Criminal Prosecution to get these criminals sentenced and incarcerated.
