Justice for D'Ashon
Donation protected
My name is D'Ashon Badawo . you probably have heard my story on Dallas morning news and NBCDFW reflecting pain and profit or the preventable tragedy of D'Ashon. I am one of many thousands of kids that end up in the custody of the state. I was born at 25 weeks gestation with my twin sister, exposed to several drugs at birth. CPS soon took custody while I was still in NICU. and my biological parents lost custody. I found my permanent mom from my first placement and now have been adopted from the custody of the state. I now suffered irreversible brain injury in the hands of the state that could have protected me. The state funded insurance company limited the level of care which was ordered by my attending physician, resulting in my current status. I can no longer play, laugh, cry, crawl, stand, wave or simply turn my head. I am in a vegetative state and must now live this way as my body will tolerate me. My case is still pending in theTexas Supreme Court, Austin TX. https://interactives.dallasnews.com/2018/pain-and-profit/part1.html.
My son can no longer do the things he loves because of a failed system that put profit ahead of patient care. Now I want to focus on my son and other children that might be going through what he did. texanslilfragilevoices.org was born out of D'Ashon's tragedy. Now we're opening D'Ashon's closet where all foster children, adopted foster kids, orphans, and widows in DFW could come by and shop at least once a month for their children or as the case may be depending on supply. And also reaching medically dependent kids around the world that are in our capacity. With your generosity these things can be accomplished and makes D'Ashon's dream come true. We already have the closet spot but we need to build it. You can also go to Texanslilfragilevoices.org to make your donations which are tax deductible by the end of the year. A generous, anonymous donor has requested to take care of D'Ashon's treatments that are not covered by the insurance. Thank's again for your generosity.
