Who we are.
Hi, well my name is Jim, my wife is Debby. We live in the town known as Forks, you know where the twilight movies and books are about vampires and such.

Thousands of people have come to see the forests and things over the past few years.  Well, we truley love it here  and have struggled to stay here for many years.

 Our situation
We were able to buy some land from a local who was nice enough to carry the mortgage, since we had no real income and not much credit.  You see we try to pay cash for everything we need and if we dont have the money we just figured we dont need it. Or at least we learned to think that way.  So for the past few years we have made our payments 100 percent on time and like clock work.  We dont know for sure but our (land lord who we think has taken ill ) and seems to be getting angry at everyone he.

The issue
But for some reason he has called and required that we pay of our loan in full imediately, I the amount of $17,000. We didnt make previsions for this request.  Well, we just dont have it. I am working to get money anyway I can. 

We are trying.
So when I found out a while ago I drummed up a way to sell hotdogs on the corner. as you can imagine hotdogs dont sell for alot and will take some time to pay the bill. We are on SSI and we try to make things and sell them in the local stores.  We tried to sell some trees on the property but quickly found out that we could not because we needed a permit, which we didnt think we needed becuase the  trees where on our property.
But needless to say, we can't get one of those either a permit  comes with a heavy price tag to.

Reaching out.
So after filling out over 100 loan applications, only to get turned down because we didnt have enough credit established. We are at our last straw.

Looking up
 We are praying for a solution. Something popped up out of the ground and I mean out of the ground.  An old Douglas Fir log emerged out of the dirt. Who knows  how  long its been there.

Wounderful find
 I looked closer and saw all these rings on it, where it had been cut.  I washed and cleaned it up the best I could.  A friend told me, the number of rings on the log determines the age of the tree.  I started counting and can you believe, I found the tree to be well over 600 years old.

WOW!!
 If this old tree could talk, what a story it could tell.  It must have endured numerous life styles sence the 1300's.  I thought It would a great idea to share a real peace of  History with everyone.

The solution
 I thought if everyone can assist us with a donation of 10 dollars, to prevent us from loosing our prescious land and home. I will in return express our gartitude by sharing with you our newly found Historical gem, I will send each doner a 1 inch  square piece of this log, together with a hand made map, pointing its location for you,  from Forks Washington, Home of Twilight.
