The Junior Ocean Rescue Team needs your help!

For the past  8 years our team has been training for and competing in surf lifesaving tournaments on a local, state, regional and national level with very limited access to quality equipment. We train for and compete in 8 challenging beach and ocean events that require skill , endurance and practice and not to mention true courage, strength and determination.

During practice and at tournaments we use regular foam surf boards in the paddle events and we just cannot compete at the level of our competitors who all use top quality racing boards. This has been extremely frustrating for our coaches and athletes. We have some awesome talent on our team but just need the right equipment to help them to compete at a higher level. Our budget has not allowed for the purchase of good equipment and the equipment we do have consists of boards purchased using funds obtained from small donations here and there. Our boards are getting worn out and damaged from use every year.

 This year we would like to purchase 4 of our own racing boards as we plan to train for and compete in 4 tournaments this summer and continue to do so in the future. We also need help raising funds to maintain our existing soft surf boards. Every year after camps we lose many fins due to use and wear and tear which need to be replaced. Sometimes we need to replace the boards.

Your support will help us to reach our goals of continuing to offer the junior ocean rescue program in Brevard County and to compete at a higher level at tournaments.
