June's Flower Program

Hi my name is Katie and I am June's mom.
The past 8 months have been the most tragic and earth shattering of my entire life. On August 23rd 2018 I delivered my first child. A beautiful baby girl named June Alice Jones. She was born still. We don't know what happened to my beautiful baby girl. I was expecting a beautiful delivery, I was term and I was headed to the hospital in early labor. When I arrived to our surprise she had no heartbeat. The best day of my life quickly shifted to the worst day of my life and tragedy entered in.
But this platform is not for me to go on about my trauma. It is to reach out amidst my grief and seek healing by helping others who have suffered similarly.
When I left the hospital I was given a large bouquet of flowers to hold in my arms to comfort me. As my arms ached for my daughter, I was comforted by the beauty in the flowers and the relief of something to hold. I left the hospital with flowers in my arms and the spirit of my child in my heart and mind forever.
In March 2019 on the Labor and Delivery unit where I work as a nurse, (the same unit in which June was born)we launched a program to give every mother who delivers a stillbirth on Labor & Delivery at Women's hospital in Greensboro, NC a bouquet of flowers, and a note sharing June's story. I am excited to share that we have already received a lot of meaningful feedback from mothers who have been comforted by the flowers and comforted to know they are not alone as they read June's story.
It is my vision and prayer that these flowers will provide comfort to grieving mothers who have just had their lives turned upside down.

Each Bouquet is $65.00 Donate an entire bouquet or whatever you can give. All proceeds go directly to our newly established non-profit called June's Bouquets. Thanks to generous donors like you we established our non-profit this summer and it is a very sustainable way to keep this program alive.
