Julie Bymaster's Cancer Treatment
Due to chemo causing the loss of most of her hair, Julie's students have given her a new name- Mrs. Kiwi! They love her and encourage her each day. Julie has continued to work as much as possible through her 6 chemo treatments and her hysterectomy.
Julie is a fighter. She has already battled breast cancer and won. She is a woman who's faith and joy stand unwavering in the face of her current struggles.
With your help, we know that Julie will conquer Uterine Cancer.
Your generous support will help Julie seek expertise and treatment outside of her school provided healthcare network and help pay for costly medicines and travel expenses. Any donation that you provide will bless Julie 100 times over and will give her a chance to fight for her life.
Please, give to a woman who has given so much to countless young lives throughout the years.
Thank you. God bless you.
Over the last 9 months, Julie has participated in a clinical immunotherapy trial that was determined to be ineffective. Due to enlarged lymph nodes in Julie’s neck that caused complications, it was necessary for her to undergo radiation treatments. Following the treatments, she developed pulmonary embolisms that caused her significant pain.
This condition has disqualified her from further clinical trials.
Julie is now at home and requires full time care through an in-home healthcare provider. Although necessary, the provider services are costly and are not covered by her insurance.
Julie has not been able to return to her teaching position at Fairmount for the past two and a half months, while her husband Mark’s ability to work has been sporadic. This has taken a financial toll on the Bymaster family.
Julie’s son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Hannah, live in Michigan where Ben has begun his career. Ben has traveled as needed from Michigan to Denver to support Julie. He plans to continue making trips to be with his mother during this difficult time.
Please consider donating to this cause to support Julie and Mark, and to help offset travel costs for Ben.
Julie is a strong and amazing woman, and now is the time to give back to her. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Julie and her family.
