Julia's College Graduation

For those that don't know me well my name is Julia and I am currently a senior completing my last semester at Hollins University. I am majoring in business with a concentration marketing and a minor in psychology. 

Since starting at Hollins four years ago I have had many amazing opportunities. These opportunities have included participating in the VFIC Ethic Bowl and completing two internships, one with Lenawee Now and the other this past January with the White House Historical Association. During the Spring of 2018 I left Hollins for a semester and completed the Disney College Program. With all of these opportunities I have still managed to complete all my course work in seven semesters rather than eight. In addition to all of these opportunities, I also already have a job lined up after graduation, I will be returning to work at Disney in June.

During my time at Hollins I have been working on campus however, as a student worker I am paid very little. Even so I have paid for most of school on my own with little help, this typically had me saving the entire year to cover housing deposits and textbooks. After all of the hours spent on course work and months of saving for school expenses, I am currently facing the very real possibility of not walking at graduation due to an inability to come up with the last $950, which has had me devastated over the past few weeks.

Those that know me well know that I don't like asking for money and always try to figure things out on my own but at this point I feel as if I hit a wall, and the $950 feeling about as monumental as the full sticker price of Hollins. I have tried applying for student loans with no luck, due to not having a willing and able cosigner. Creating this page was the last idea I could think of because I have exhausted the all of the options available to me.
