Providing Airlift for Puerto Rico

$44,522 of $50,000 goal

**UPDATE!**  When entering your donation, please only enter it once, event though it says it didn't go through.  Check your credit card to be sure it went through, if not, submit again.  The good people at GoFundMe have reassured me they are working on this glitch.

Everyone knows that Hurricane Maria has decimated Puerto Rico.  People are without power, without running water and in many cases have virtually lost everything.

We have a lot of family in Puerto Rico and when we were trying to think of how we can help, our airplane came to mind.  My husband Julio “J.R” Canales, is a commercial pilot and owns a Cessna 310 with a couple of other friends.

We are partnering with several key organizations that have established key private supply chains that are getting aid to the people.  Initially the C310 proved effective in delivering aid to small communities and provided transport for evacuees and others to airports that provided transport off the island.  But the need was far greater than our little airplane. The mission grew and no longer are we flying the C310. What started as a small single person operation has grown to a large scale airlift operation sourcing large aircraft that can bring significant amounts of aid at a time to these trusted distribution channels.

We need your help!! As we source larger aircraft we partner with operatorsand often times have to pay for fuel and other services to acquire the lift. It’s always pennies on the dollar costs but it adds up.  A B767 freighter will burn roughly 8,000 gallons of fuel from Miami to San Juan at a cost of about $18,000.  But it can bring 120,000 lbs of aid in one shot to areas that really need the help.  That is extremely cheap!!This is why we need your help.  By donating you help us move the backlog of over 50 million pounds of cargo that’s sitting in warehouses in the US waiting for someone to transport it to Puerto Rico.  Please Donate and follow us!! Thank you for your support!!

**UPDATE!**  We have a Citation 2 that has been donated for our use by 30West.  Your continued contributions will help fuel this aircraft and keep it flying as long as possible. We have started flying the Aircraft and have delivered critical medical supplies to a doctors,  about 150 water filtration systems and provided space for evacuees that need medical attention in the US. Thatwas just day one!!! Please help us!! Join our team. Donate!! Follow us!!

Gracias desde el fondo de nuestros corazones,

Aubry and JR Canales

Update! JR and his friends, Jeff and Mike are about to land in San Juan. They are refueling, picking up supplies and picking up another friend John (WHOSE BIRTHDAY IS TODAY!) and heading to Ponce.
Their plan is to stay on the island and start bringing supplies from the bigger cities (Ponce and San Juan) to the smaller towns who haven't seen much (if any) aid yet. Joining JR's Cessna 310, is 3 other private aircraft who will be helping with these missions. There are several people on the ground coordinating, as well as federal agents who will be accompanying them.

Your donations are going directly into gas for these planes; all these guys and gals are volunteering their time. Keep sharing. Tweet to your favorite celebs, tag on IG your super heroes... we need all the help we can get. If anyone knows of foundations who want to contribute, please have them contact me (Aubry).

Thank you again for all the support! ((some fun stuff - go to www.flightaware.com and enter in JR's tail number N69728 to see real time trips as he is flying them!))

XOXO Aubry & JR

Thank you all so much for your donations! JR has 4 other private planes flying down now to San Juan with him. They will start moving supplies Tuesday (pending closures due to the president's visit). He has been working on logistics nonstop and it looks like he will have security, ramp space and plenty of fuel available to purchase. Your donations are filling airplane gas tanks that will bring supplies that are sorely needed in small towns and villages across the island of Puerto Rico. There is a team in San Juan that is coordinating all the supplies and where they are needed…. we have a squadron now! JR will be taking lots of videos and Facebook lives when he can, and I will be posting them as well on my personal page, publicly. Thank you again! And please share with your friends!
xoxo Aubry and JR
