Special Needs Classroom Supplies
Donation protected
Our beautiful daughter-in-law Bree is a 2nd grade teacher of kids with special needs. She is a truly gifted, patient and caring teacher. Bree and the other teachers at Cozy Lake school spent time in early August preparing their classrooms for the start of the school year.
A few days before the school was set to open, a significant amount of mold was discovered that resulted in all of the classroom materials being discarded for safety reasons.
The school has reimbursed the teachers for the basic classroom needs but many things that had been collected over the years (teaching toys, books) are still needed. The photo attached is of Bree's newly prepared classroom. It is clean and bright and set up for the basic needs of the students. But as you can see, the shelves are pretty bare.
Since the mold was not caused by damage like a leak or a pipe burst, insurance won't cover the costs.
We'd love to help Bree and the other teachers restock their classrooms with the items that help them help their students. Any donation would be appreciated and would make a difference!
Thanks in advance!
Laurie
