Journey's Veterinary Treatment

Donation protected
My new beautiful filly, Journey, was born on July 18th, 2016 and was carried to full term but was born dysmature. This means although she was in her mothers womb for the entire 11 months, she did not fully mature. There was an infection in the placenta during the pregnancy that hindered Journeys growth and she was born only 45lbs (a baby horse is typically 150 lbs). Journey has been in the hospital for 3 days, her entire life so far, because she was so dysmature, was having trouble standing up and nursing, and her vitals were deteriorating; and today, July 21st, 2016, her mother accidentally stepped on her face and broke it. We already were having trouble with how expensive this 24/7 care is, but now we have to transfer Journey to a far away university to get a CT scan of the baby's face to make sure the facial fracture is not too extreme. If the fracture ends up hindering the baby's health in anyway she will be in a lot more treatment. We want to do everything we possibly can to help baby Journey and we want to be able to pay for the best care we can for her, but as horse people know, it can get extremely expensive. Please, if you find it in you, donate money to help baby Journey. Even $1 can help us. Thank you.
