Joshua's Journey
Donation protected
Joshua Quist was a healthy, active, and brillant 12 year old in September. He'd just earned his blue belt in karate and loved school. This was also when his family was told he had a grade IV glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor and maybe had three months to live. No one could accept that there was "nothing" anyone could do. His parents, Chris and Paula, set out on a global search for any and all clinical trials their beloved son qualified for and could get into immediately. Joshua also has Li Fraumeni syndrome, which complicates the treatment options available. Since October, Josh has had three tumor resection surgeries, spent 30 days in Milwaukee, WI, for a photodynamic therapy clinical trial, and is now about to leave for Augusta, GA, on March 24th for another clinical trial. The family had prayers answered whenever they found a furnished apartment to rent (during the same time as the Masters), but it is very expensive. They will be there 35 days. Josh's mom, Paula, is taking an unpaid leave from her job and his dad, Chris, will be working during the week and driving each weekend to be with his precious family. Please help support this wonderful family during their battle against this aggressive cancer. The journey is not over. We believe love hopes all things and never fails.
