Joseph was in an automobile accident February 28th. His car caught on fire and he was pulled from the burning car by the first driver on the scene. Joseph was transported to a trauma hospital. His injuries were head trauma, broken sternum and ribs, lacerated liver, multiple breaks in right upper arm, fracture in right femur, and puncture wounds in right thigh and knee.
He underwent two surgeries and spent 15 days in ICU. As of March 20th he has been hopitalized for 21 days. Joseph will need to go to a rehabilitation hospital to continue his recovery when he is discharged from the hospital.
Joseph's car was destroyed as was his cell phone, his identification, kayak and kayaking equipment. Joseph will need funds for medical expenses not covered by insurance, replacement of his car, phone and kayaking equipment which burnt in the fire.
Out-of-pocket expenses are impossible to estimated at this time.
