Joseph Clarks Recovery Fund

This past week our father Joseph suffered a medical emergency. On May 7th he was found unconscious with massive blood loss, at which time we were told he may not make it. He was sent to an intensive care unit in Nashville, Tennessee where he had been located for work. They discovered he had Atrial fibrillation and required multiple blood transfusions for a duodenal ulcer. He spent a week undergoing tests and treatment until he was stable enough to be brought back to Canada. Here at home he’s waiting to see specialists and have more testing done but needs time off to recover. 

Anyone who knows my father would agree he's the hardest working man we know. He has been the sole supporter of our entire family for the majority of his life. He has been unable to pursue higher education and has been working at the same job for over 20 years, without any retirement fund or health benefits. Not to mention the costs accrued during his Nashville stay. He has consistently neglected himself and his own health in order to make ends meet and support our family. He’s a proud man who has never accepted help from others even when he’s truly needed it. He‘s always been there for us when it counts. I’d like to do the same for him now. I would love to give him the time he needs to heal.
