My son, Joseph Alvarez, suddenly and tragically passed away 10/28/17 at 3:03 am. I am shocked and devasted. I almost lost him to illness when he was eight months old, but by God's grace he overcame and I had the honor of seeing him grow to be the fine young man he was. Never did I think I would have to plan for his funeral now. None of us were prepared for this as we all thought he was going to embark on a new chapter in his life. He had just accepted a permanent position with UPS and was supposed to start on Monday. Sadly, this will not happen.
Joseph brought joy to everyone he crossed paths with and showed unconditional love for everyone. He would give the shirt off of his back and carry the burdens of others to help lighten their load. He would always make us laugh with his goofy jokes. He was the favorite Uncle JoJo. I am so thankful he had the opportunity to travel and meet the love of his life, Bertha. He loved animals and was always rescuing a dog somewhere. Bucket, a throw away chihuahua that he literally found in a bucket became his greatest fan and protector. Joseph wasn't afraid to try new things and failure never bothered him as he knew it would only lead him to his many great successes. His sparkling eyes and beautiful smile will be missed.
I have received numerous emails, texts and messages from people asking how to help, so this campaign has been created as a way to keep everyone up-to-date with plans, and also offer a place for messages and donations to be left. Funeral plans are still being arranged, and any updates regarding locations and times will be posted here.
