My father Jose Santiago was an intelligent man with a big heart. If he only had a dollar to his name and saw a random person struggling he would give that person his dollar. He had has demons like everyone else but always saw the brighter side of things. He taught me and my brother things that school couldn't teach and showed me how to do things right. He always made sure we had everything we needed when times were hard when we were little. He took care of his mother when she was sick. My father's positive attitude and open heartedness will always remain with me and we will try to be positive through this hard time for my siblings, my family, and I.
We are raising money for all of the funeral expenses. This will be for a burial plot, tombstone, and a hall to hold the family ceremony. We need all the help we can get from family, friends, and anyone with a kind heart. Anything will help and will be greatly appreciated. More information will be posted about the service when we get it.
