Jo’s fight against breast cancer

So this beauty next to me is my big sister Josephine. We are what you call Irish twins (11 months apart), and with such a small age gap comes years of teenage hostility followed by the closeness only adult sisters can appreciate. She’s the greatest pain in the neck a sister could ask for and I adore her ❤️ This year she has absolutely shone in her work life, earning the respect and trust of her employers and colleagues, propelling her into a supervisor role. She also met an amazing guy who truly loves her, even when she’s grumpy and growling before her morning cuppa . Life was really looking good!

Just shy of her 30th birthday she got the earth shattering news that she has breast cancer. Fast forward to today (18th of August, 2018) and we finally have answers. She has stage two ducial (aggressive) cercenoma in her left breast, with possible cancer in her lymph nodes on that side.

Naturally she is both relieved it’s treatable but terrified at all the repercussions (financial, emotional, physical, fertility etc.). As her sister I am not content with simply supporting her emotionally, I want to ease some of her worries and troubles. This is where I need the help of our friends and family. I want her to have a financial safety cushion as she will be off work for 6months or more with aggressive chemo every three weeks, surgery and radiotherapy followed by other treatments.
