Joral's Awesome Trip to Taiwan!!

Joral Basnight is an amazing teen. Ok, we all say our teens are amazing, but Joral isn't even MY personal teen! I'm awestruck at his intelligence, his kindness, his sense of humor, his level of maturity...I can say so many awesome things about him. By far the most incrediable thing about Joral is his relationship with his mother, my best friend, Jessica Rivera. I have NEVER seen a mother work so hard for her child. Yes, I have my own kids, but even I draw the line. Joral & Jessica's relationship is the type of parent-child connection that inspires others. Everyone that comes in contact with Joral recognizes what makes him special, and I refuse to pretend that he is not influenced by his mom. One person that was truly inspired by Joral was his middle school principal. This principal saw the fire within. As an educator, he knew that Joral possessed something that could not be ignored. He believed in Joral and his faith led him to make a personal recommendation that Joral be accepted into the Ross School in the Hamptons. If you've never heard of the Ross School, think Hogwarts, (or you can just Google, but who doesn't know Hogwarts!?). Joral lives and learns on a beautiful campus in the Hamptons on a full scholarship. You read right, FULL SCHOLARSHIP. This year, Hogwarts, I mean Ross School is sending Joral and the other wizards (ok, I'll stop) to Taiwan! They will be there from February 25-March 10. During this two week stay, they will be immersed in Chinese language, contemporary history and vibrant culture. They will still have classes, only in Taiwan. Remember our class trips to Great Adventure? Joral's great adventure will be in Taiwan.
