Jonathan's Atlantis Fellowship

I am happy to share with you all that I was recently accepted into The Atlantis Project, a four-week medical exchange program in which I will both shadow doctors and volunteer at a hospital in Milan, Italy. I will be rotating through several specialties during my time there.
My hope is to one day pursue neuro or orthopedic surgery with a concentration in pediatrics, and I believe this experience will deepen my desire to pursue a health profession and enhance my confidence in a hospital setting. By participating in a hospital internship abroad, I will be exposed to a wider variety of illnesses and unusual clinical approaches not offered in a traditional American medical experience.
I believe this opportunity will broaden and deepen my personal comfort with hands-on, real-world engagement, equip me to become a better doctor, and allow me to better diagnose and serve my patients in the future. Moreover, it will help me fully step into the role of a knowledgeable, lifelong student of medicine.
The total cost of this trip is $4,000. This includes the cost of tuition, room and board, and travel. Besides personal savings, I’m working hard to find external scholarships. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
