Jon Wentz Benefit - Help A Helper

My name is Monica Kilfoil.  My sister and her husband were in a serious ATV accident and I wish to help.  Living in New England while they are in Ohio the best thing I could do is start A GoFundMe account for them.  Any donations collected will be used to directly offset their lost wages while they recover.  Jon will need round the clock care once he gets home. Karen must take a leave and stop working to assist him.  For my sister, if she doesn’t work then she doesn’t have a paycheck.  Thank you for helping this couple that deserve your assistance.

On Friday, June 27th, my parents traveled benefit for a fellow Veteran who left the earth too soon.

The day was just like any other ride, until my parents took a wrong turn and got separated from the group. While driving around trying to find them again, they climbed a steep hill, they slid back in the mud and the buggy hit a Rock and flipped several times. 

He was airlifted to Ohio State hospital where he is being treated for a traumatic brain injury.  He has a bone chipped on his hip, 27 staples in the back of his head in the shape of a horseshoe. It was then discovered that he broke his neck.  

Thankfully he does not require surgery at this time, but there are numerous expenses that frankly, we don't know how we're ever going to afford.  While we do not currently have an exact estimate, we do know we have a long road ahead.  My dad will be out of work for at least 6 months, and will need 24 hours a day care.  This means my mother will have to give up a significant amount of her work.

We are hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.  My dad is an EMT/firefighter who has laid his life on the line for countless strangers.  He is a Veteran who does all he can for this country.  He is a Hunter Safety instructor who has raised tens of thousands of dollars for local wildlife conservation and education through the Whitetails Unlimited and NWTF organizations.

The guy who can make anyone laugh and brighten their day with his stories or Facebook posts.

He would drop everything to help absolutely anyone, and is too proud to ask for help himself.
