I wanted to set up this page for Beth because she would never do it herself.
Beth has been my best friend for over 20 years. She is brave, she’s a fighter, and watching her go through this, I’ve realized that I’ve never met someone so strong in all my life.
Many of you know that two months after giving birth to her beautiful daughter Isla, Beth was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. It was a shock to everyone. She had not yet even turned 38, and there was no family history or warning signs.
The emotional and financial burden of surviving breast cancer is challenging and heartbreaking. With Beth’s young age, a newborn, and her six year old daughter, Marina, it definitely adds to the challenge.
Throughout it all though, Beth has maintained her sense of humor and her courage. She makes everyone around her strong, and keeps us all from breaking down.
This Thursday, Beth has a surgery scheduled for a double mastectomy. Between the surgery and her last rounds of chemo, I’m sure the medical bills are adding up. I’m hoping that we can all come together as a community and join Beth in her fight against this awful disease!
