Our friend, John Jennings, has worked throughout the Greater Lynchburg and Bedford areas as a Fire Marshal for decades. Unfortunately, John has been diagnosed with lung cancer, which has subsequently spread throughout his body. He is currently at Lynchburg General Hospital, East Tower 4th Floor, and is receiving radiation treatments. We ask for your support in helping John and his family at this time.

Every year John and I would attend at least one magic convention. One of our favorite trips was last summer's combined IBM and SAM Convention. I was hoping we would fly but John insisted on driving so that we could enjoy more than just St. Louis. Along the many miles of open road we found some fun attractions.

Although many of you could not make it to John's funereal yesterday because of the "magicians snowfall", the service was no less befitting of the man that became the love of my life in 1978. I will cherish the memories we made together forever. Thank you everyone for your prayers and you support.

On Monday afternoon, just after 2:00, with Will and me by his side, John quietly left this world. My best friend , Will's hero and the love of my life is no longer hurting. I am thankful for the time we had together. We have treated every day since John's diagnosis as a blessing and I thank God for giving us the extra time together.

I Wish there were words or some super-magic that could make the pain go away. Only time and love will lessen it. I just thought about John's hilarious linking rings routine... the magic lives on. Remember the good times and do not hesitate to lean on your friends at this time, even me.

John was just a really nice guy. There's really no better way to put it. I don't think I ever saw him angry, or upset, or really anything less than content. Rest in Peace, "Uncle John."
