It is with heavy heart and deep sadness that we acknowledge the loss of a loved one. John Patrick Stevens passed in his sleep on the morning of August 11, 2019. He was 50 years young. John was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years Barbra and their three children Jenna Payge Davidson, 22yrs. Brock Gavin Stevens, 16 years. Pacer Wyatt Stevens13 yrs. Also by his siblings Danise Dever Tippins, William Jere Stevens and Michael James Stevens, their spouses, children and extended family of in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins etc.

Those who who knew John would agree that his love of family and friends was a defining characteristic. He was a long time employee of UPS. His extended family was very large due to his love of RC planes which was instilled in him from birth by his father. Along with his brothers and sons, John proudly represented Team Stevens on the flight lines throughout the years. John's jokes and loud laugh were never in short supply and are the source of countless fond memories for all who knew him. He shared a love of super heroes, specifically Captain America with his boys and almost daily sported the shield of his favorite character in some way.

As most of you can attest, through the years John and Barbie always opened their home up to friends and family for a good time. He was adamant about time spent with those he valued and could sit and talk planes, classic rock music, motorcycles and good food all day in his garage. He wanted love and laughter to fill the air of his family's home at all times. In honor of this giving, fun loving spirit and his personal wishes, Barbara and her children would like to invite all to their home for a celebration of life in loving memory of John to be held on September 21, 2019, 6:30-9:30pm.

This loss was sudden, unexpected and beyond comprehension and the family is still in shock. The out pouring of love has been undeniable. The family would like to thank all for the phone calls, shared photos, meals and other acts of support. It is a comfort to know how far reaching Johns friendship was and still is. Though he is gone from sight he is always in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.

There have been numerous inquiries from people asking how they can help and the family is incredibly grateful. This page has been created as a place where updates concerning the celebration can be found as well as a donation link for those who wish to contribute to the expenses the family now finds themselves facing so unexpectedly. If you are unable to donate please still share comments and thoughts the family can read and hopefully find comfort in as they strive to find courage and strength moving ahead without John.

From the bottom of our hearts, the entire family thanks you for loving John Stevens as your own and we offer our condolences in return for all who grieve along with us.
