John Recks Medical Funds

$16,150 of $20,000 goal

Raised by 134 people in 7 months
John Reck is very very sick, and in the hospital with a serious infection, whch has caused several traumatic events, organ failures, and surgeries.  This is not an infection that he will overcome in a week.  It will take several months of recovery time and rehabilitation.  Although John has medical insurance, it will not cover all the bills nor his basic living expenses that he has no means of paying while sick.  It would help him to not have to worry about these expenses, and focus on healing at this difficult time.

Hi everyone! Quick update on john status.

John still needs our support!

For those who aren’t aware, John is continuing to battle an infection that caused him to lose his large intestine. While he has health insurance, it doesn’t nearly cover the costs he has incurred and he is without income, and he continues to struggle for survival with frequent hospital visits!

While the money we have collected for him so far has been of great help, he continues to need your support during this difficult time. Please help if you can!

Hi everyone! A quick update on Johns progress. As many of you know, he is in currently in a rehab facility in Andover, and will be for a month or so while he recovers from the surgery and learns to walk (and eat!!!) again. We expect this whole thing to take up to a year for him to recover fully. In the meantime please continue to help out if you can! If you can give again, please do!

GoFundMe also wants me to tell you a few things about myself in order for me to withdraw the money and give it to my brother. I am Johns sister. I live in NY, and have recently reconnected with John. I set up this account to help John pay for his medical bills and expenses while he is sick. The money we receive is withdrawn into my bank account, and is subsequently transferred directly to Johns bank account. He has already received much of the funds, and is very grateful to all of you for all the continued support!

Thank you all so much for pulling together for John during this time!

Hi Everyone! John has moved to a facility in Peabody for rehabilitation. Though he is on the mend, he has been hospitalized for so long that he needs to rebuild his muscles so he can start moving again. I suspect it will be a long haul, but he is in good spirits, and is strong. John wanted me to express to you all just how thankful he is for all of your love and support! He feels lucky to have you all in his life, and is overwhelmed by the support! Thank you thank you thank you!
