John matapua

On Friday April 5, 2018 our family was camping for the weekend down at Mokuleia beach park. 2 of the 3 divers returned to shore. Unfortunately my dad John Matapua did not make it. Rescue crew found him and brought him to shore. Performed cpr and had no response. My dad was a humble man, a giving man, a family man and a man of god. I never understood why he made family so important but now I know the importance of family. He always made sure everyone else was taken care of before himself. He made sure we all were taken cared of. Time is not slowing down and time is so important. Pray even when you don’t need it pray all the time. He took a good man way too soon! But What makes my heart happy is that he did it while doing what he enjoyed doing. My dad John Matapua is survived by his wife Melanie, three daughters Jazmin(myself), Mariah, & Rebecca Matapua, and one grand daughter.
