John Fischer's Road to Recovery
On March 19, 2019, my brother John Fischer suffered a massive Brain Stem Stroke that also affected 4 other parts of his brain (5 strokes in all). The doctors said that if he wasn’t a former Marine, he would not have survived. His parents, siblings, and 3 children have been at his bedside these first few weeks to provide emotional support, and he has made miraculous progress.
As we focus on his recovery, we are now concerned about his expenses. He is no longer able to work and won’t be for quite some time, and his Veterans (VA) benefits are not adequate to cover the necessary Physical Therapy and rehab. Coupled with his monthly expenses, he needs help. Any contribution would be a blessing. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to John.
Above all, we would appreciate continued prayers and support. It is a miracle that he is alive, and clearly God is not done with him yet. Thank you so much!
Just wanted to thank all of John's financial supporters to date, and give you a quick update. I wanted you to know that our family is really stepping up as well to financially support John, and are matching everyone dollar for dollar. He's still in the hospital, and my mother is quickly converting her condo to accommodate a hospital bed and other equipment for John. We have found Physical Therapists who provide home care at an hour rate, and plan to really hit the therapy hard these first few months. Please follow his progress at www.helpjohnfischer.com, and thanks again for your support.
