Hello, I m Maria, Joe's wife. We have three sweet, young boys full of life. Everyone who meets Joe loves him right from the start. He is one of the gentlest, kindest, most giving persons you will ever meet. He is the most loving and dedicated husband and daddy. Joe has a heart of gold. I am blessed to be his wife. I need my husband and my boys need their daddy.
These past 2 weeks have been the hardest days of my life. It was so hard to see my husband, Joe, in so much pain and not be able to take that pain away. Even some doctors turned their back on us and sent us home without answers because we have no insurance. Even though doctors didn't want to help us, God had already paved the road for us, He had already placed all the right people to help us get Joe the help he needed and God was showing us his mercy once again. With the help of angel friends at Methodist, we were able to finally admit him.
We were heartbroken when we found out Joe has a blockage in his stomach and this was causing him not to eat and loose weight fast. They had to do an emergency Ostomy surgery and now he is healing from this surgery. Unfortunately that blockage they found is a mass growing in the lining of his stomach and the word we were afraid to heard was mentioned. Joe has stage 4 cancer and has spread in many areas in his stomach. We trust in our Lord and we have faith He will heal my husband. It's not going to be an easy road, but I Know God is in control. He will hold us and help us go through this with peace knowing He is in control.
We are so thankful to all the doctors that stuck with us, family members, and friends that helped us these past 2 weeks. Now that we have gotten past the initial shock and the first hurdle (Ostomy), we were finally able to share the news with our three young boys. And are now ready to share the news with you all. We need your prayers, and all the emotional, physical, and financial support we can get.
His treatments need to begin in Two weeks. With the help of all our family and friends, we are confident God will help us find a way to meet our needs.
Please pray for my Husband and my family, pray God keeps showing his mercy to us. Together we can help my husband battle this fight! He is NOT alone and we stand together trusting our Lord will heal him.
