Joe Freddy Francois, the valedictorian of the first graduating class at the Henderson K-12 Inclusion School, has big dreams. Joe is a survivor of the Haiti earthquake who witnessed the destruction of his home and the collapse of structurally unsound buildings in his community.  After the earthquake, Joe and his sister moved to Boston to live with their aunt. He didn't speak any English when he arrived, but he learned quickly and he has thrived here, graduating with a 4.13 GPA while working full time to help cover rent and food. After graduation, Joe's dream is to become an architect and return to Haiti to help rebuild his home country. He has been accepted into Mass Art to study architecture, but because he is in the United States under Temporary Protected Status, he does not qualify for need-based financial aid. All of us at the Henderson K-12 Inclusion Schoool are committed to helping Joe on his path. Please join us in establishing a scholarship fund to help him realize his dream.
