Joe Asselin Solo Acoustic Album

Thank you for checking this fundraiser out. My name is Joe Asselin a landscape company owner and laborer. I'm married to my awesome wife of 10 years and a caring dad to 2 awesome dogs and  2 crazy cats. There is much to know and this is the first time I have ever done something like this.

So you probably should know some things about me. For the majority of my life I have pursued and performed with some wonderful bands. Either playing harmonica signing or having a blast with my strat performing with a band was wonderful in every way. But years went by and I got completley burnt out of music. Never have i actually spent the time to pursue music as a solo artist. So now that I am at my late thirties I truly have a heavy desire to record some of my songs and actually release a solo album. The music I am primarily known from is blues but I have a huge heart for songs. Songs that have either an ecomonic issue or just a song to get you through the day. As a huge fan of the singer songwriters from the past I know my vocals are not the soulful sound of blues but more the sound of a songwriter. From songs like "minimum wage" to "food line" I feel that these songs have some sort of impostance in today's music.
So to record this album the production cost should be low.

How will this money be used?

All in all every single cent would be utilized to help me create this art that I love and finally release a cd of my work. Currently I have 9 strong songs and working on writing 3 more. I may include a cover song and maybe a traditional blues song.
