Jodie's Seizure Treatment
Donation protected
I got Jodie when he was a puppy. I was there when he was born and immediately knew he was the one. He waited for me to get home when I deployed. He became my service dog and learned to wake me up from nightmares when I struggled afterwards. He motivated me to do better. He's been the most loyal friend to me.
Now it's my turn to return the loyalty. I recently learned that Jodie has cataracts. 3 weeks ago, it was 15% in each eye. Now it's 40%. If I can get him surgery soon, we can avoid complications that arrise if we wait and he won't have to go without sight. For that, I need your help. If you can donate, please do. If you want to share my story, please do. Thank you.
UPDATE: Jodie is now struggling with seizures. They started a year ago, but were only about once every 6 months. Now he's having cluster seizures. He's currently stable and hasn't had a seizure in 2 days. I drove him to the Auburn University Veterinary Hospital (one of the best vets in the country) for extensive blood work, MRIs, and several other tests. He had 8 seizures on Saturday (28 April 2018) and is currently blind. We're hoping his vision comes back soon. We're thinking it's either epilepsy or a congenital issue, but imaging and testing is very expensive. Thank you all.
