REBUILDING due to toxic Black Mold

UPDATE: We currently are still not home. Our home is still in the stages of being repaired. The airconditing unit was finally replaced after mold remediation.
We still have out of pocket expenses including a mortgage, a apartment, double utilities. Costly repairs on our house.

When I was 17 I was in and out of hospitals for years. The doctors didn’t know what was wrong with me all they knew was that I was continuing to get worse and my health was declining. At 17 I stopped breathing and was put on a ventalior so that it could breathe for me. I have asthma and was born with it. The doctors had no idea what was wrong. At one point they told my mother that I may not make it through, that I probably would not survive. I pulled through & faught for my life. I was sent to a special teaching hospital where the head of pulmonary finally found a diagnosis of allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis also known as ABPA. It was almost 2 years that I had this & left untreated it can cause major damage to the lungs. Which in my case one of my lungs didn’t make it. It’s extremely rare and can be fatal. This is the SAME extact mold that was found in my home. As well as another toxic mold. These molds are highly dangerous.
Many of you asked why & how we lost everything and why nothing is salvageable. This is why, once the spores are released they grow in numbers and in a enclosed environment they are highly toxic. This was at no fault of our own and if we had not had the leaky vent we would have never known for who knows how long this was growing in our home. We have literally not been able to go back to the house and we were vacated. We have not only have had to start over but we don’t even have everyday essentials. All the money raised from this campaign will go towards replacing basic everyday essentials including costly medical tests that are not covered by insurance. We have double the bills as we still have to pay our mortgage and keep up with our home expenses as well as now paying for a apartment and the bills there. My husband works 3 jobs to support our family.
I’m focused on our health and getting to the specialist. I’m reliving the trauma all over again but this time I’m living it not only for myself but also for my child. Items can be replaced but lives cannot and although devestated at our loss of our home and it’s contents I’m extremely focused on making sure everyone is healthy. Our home can be fixed in time but the items inside are all a loss.
