Bahamas Missions Trip

Hi all, this is Jamie. For those of you who don't know, I am a freshman at Mira Costa High School and an active member of our church Journey of Faith's youth group, Amplified. At Amplified, our goal is to spread the gospel and God's love to anyone who is willing to listen. Several other high schoolers and I are planning on taking a mission trip to the Spanish Wells in the Bahamas to fulfill our Amplified family's goal. While many believe that the Bahamas is only an amazing vacation spot, many of its inhabitants are poverty stricken, lack jobs and education, and also lack many necessary resources. The Spanish Wells is a small part of Eleuthera in the Bahamas, where we will be spending time with Haitian children. On this journey, we plan on playing with the kids, teaching them about the Bible, and exemplifying God's love through our own actions. The money I am trying to raise will help me get from LA to Eleuthera, Bahamas and also with accommodations. We will be serving in partnership with the Boykin family, who have founded the Living Stone Ministry. Unfortunately, I have a small time frame and am hoping to raise as much as I can by Thursday, February 11. Every penny donated towards my campaign will mean very much to me and even if you can't donate, a small prayer will also make a huge difference. My biggest goal for this trip is to shine a light on others who are stuck in the dark and also to rekindle my fire for God. Thank you very much for your time, donations, and prayers.
