At the end of October 2018 four Antwerp youth organizations will travel to Morocco. Scouts and Guides Flanders, JES Stadslabo, Kras Jeugdwerk and Format join forces for a large-scale exchange project with two youth organizations/associations in Berkane (Homme et environnement) and Jerada (ISAAF). In this way we want to introduce young Flemish people to the youth work in Morocco and vice versa. We also wish to have a sustainable effect on local youth organizations.
In concrete terms, we have been working on a project on the environment, culture and self-development for almost two years. At the end of October we will eventually realize this project in Morocco. For a week 55 youngsters, will help turn a minivan into a learning tool full of game, workshop materials and methods. This van will carry the name JISR Caravan, which means as much as the 'bridge construction caravan'. Building bridges between young people, associations and cultures is therefore the goal of this project. The young people will also follow workshops and test the van for the first time with kids in orphanages that are part of the Moroccan associations. After this we leave it to the organizations.
We have obtained Erasmus + that covers most of this project, but unfortunately the costs for the van and the transport are not covered. THIS IS WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP. Literally every euro/dollar can make a difference in the success of our project. Share with your friends, family, rich uncles / aunts, people who need some good deeds, etc.
