Jim's Van Fund

Donation protected
Welcome to our Fund Me Page site. We've created this page to raise funds to buy a wheelchair accessible van for Jim Curtin.

On Saturday November 11, 2017 Jim tripped and fell.  He was taken to Danbury Hospital and then transferred to Gaylord and Laurel Ridge for treatment.  He is now home but he sustained a severe spinal injury and is currently paralyzed from the neck down.

For 28 years Jim has been employed at STAR, Inc., Lighting the Way....as an Employment Specialist providing job coach supports to hundreds of adults with intellectual and developmental delays. He was gifted in working with all different types of people regardless of the severity of their disabilities or unique needs. He genuinely cared for each person he supported.

Jim has committed his entire career to people with disabilities.  Thanks to his dedication countless individuals have secured jobs, earned a paycheck and gained independence.  Now Jim needs all of us to help him.

Jim is in need of a wheelchair accessible van to assist him in getting to and from critical medical and therapeutic appointments.

We invite you to donate to help Jim regain his independence.

Thank you.
