Join us as we share with you Jim's 15-year journey.   Flashback to 2002  when Jim was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and underwent surgery for a defibrillator.  The following year resulted in ventricular tachycardia resulting in misfiring of the defibrillator.  Unfortunately,  the excessive misfiring left Jim with no option other than a heart transplant.   Jim waited on the transplant list for the next two years. Spring of 2005 the transplant procedure was successfully completed.    
Jim transitioned to the next phase; dealing with the side effects , including diabetes, heart biopsies, and a plethora of daily medications.  Over the next 10-years the increased medications,  6- pulmonary emboli's and 2 replacement stents became part of life. Since 2015 Jim had  heart valve and start of kidney failure.  2016 included another valve surgery and advanced heart and kidney failure requiring the start of dialysis and cardia rehab.  2017 has not been a Happy New Year.  After more complications a pre-cancerous tumor was found on his pancrease along with early stages of lymphoma.  At this point Jim is no longer a candidate for further transplants; heart or kidney but will keep his dialysis and cardiac rehab weekly schedule.

Jim is no longer able to work.   

Needless to say, the medical expenses incurred over the past 15-years has become overwhelming and has left Jim, and his wife, Kim searching for creative ways to meet their financial obligations.  

We are asking for your support and donations to rally around Jim and Kim, to help payoff significant medical expenses, downsize their home  to a one-story home for ease of access, and to  capture an improved quality of life as Jim settles into the final chapter of his journey.
