Jillian and family's Irma Recovery
My cousin Jillian, her husband Chuck, and her family, like so many others, were hit hard by Hurricane Irma. They live in St. Petersburg, FL and had to remain at home instead of evacuating. Their son was born with multiple disabilities including cerebral palsy, autism, scoliosis, a suppressed immune system, and an inability to regulate his temperature. He is semi-paralyzed and unable to communicate if he's in pain or hurting. Because of this, they were unable to go to shelter or hotel. Due to Irma and his extreme reactions, they had to get a generator so he is never placed in that life threatening position again.
They received significant damage to the interior of their house due to the raised foundation. They've spent thousands of dollars already on the generator and still need to purchase fuel for the generator, replace furniture, and continue the rest of the clean up and repair of their property.
Jillian is a cousin I met through DNA testing several years ago and since has become an important part of our family. The hurricane has taken a toll on her, her family, and their finances and they would greatly appreciate any assistance during this stressful and challenging time. Any small amount you would be willing to send to assist is welcomed.
