Jill Cooper's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
On Wednesday May 17, 2017 a woman loved by so many, Jill (Grossman) Cooper suffered a massive stroke.  It has been a little difficult putting the timeline together but by all accounts she may have started the series of clotting in the brain at around 9AM and did not get to the hospital until around 2PM.  The update as of May 20th is some clotting could have passed through a hole in her heart which then spread the blood clots through both sides of her brain with the most immediate damage effecting her right side.  She has been left with difficulty speaking and has paralysis on the right side of her body. There could be other long term effects that havent shown up yet but her family is taking each hour of each day one at a time.

The doctors are keeping her blood pressure at high levels and pumping her with blood thinners to make sure that any remaining clots have dissipated.  Once she is stable, she will likely need to have the hole in her heart repaired and will need to undergo lengthy therapy to regain as much of her speech and motor skills as possible.  Unfortunately at this time there is no way to really know what the long term effects are or what she will possibly suffer permanently let alone how long the recovery period will be.

What we do know is this is going to be costly... Jill and her husband Gordon are going to face incredibly high medical bills that insurance proportionally doesn't cover.  This gofundme site has been pulled together to help them with these bills with a sense of urgency so they don't have that stress on them along with the road to recovery.

Jill has been a pillar strength for all of her family and friends through out her life.  During a crisis she is always the first to come running... She has been the life of the party on every occasion as well and now its time that we all show her how much her presence has meant to each of us by being there for her in any way we can whether  by donating funds on this site, praying for her speedy recovery, signing up to deliver a meal on her caring bridge site www.caringbridge.org/visit/jillcooper , stopping in to help once she makes it home or simply keeping her in your thoughts.

Thank you all for the outpouring of support and words of encouragement... Jill and Gordon along with their families appreciate it so very much and know how much everyone is pulling for her...
