My Dearest Lisa!
Lisa Kessler McFadden is my dearest friend and a personal promise was made to her that I would help her and her family in any way I could. Of course the private but spiritual person she is, she didn’t need help, she only wanted everyone’s prayers, which she has been receiving many of them on a daily basis. After 5 Months I recently extended the offer again if any help was needed financially and the response was "any help would now be graciously appreciated to help towards this difficult fight". Just the courage alone to accept help is “OUTSTANDING”. Knowing that Lisa and her family has worked so hard to keep her health issues private, they know “coming out” would only help raise awareness as well as prayers and SUPPORT for LISA.
Lisa was diagnosed with Small Cell E Lung Cancer and had been undergoing agresive treatment with chemo and radiation. During those months, Lisa has had to pull out strengths and courage that she didn’t even know existed to take on this battle. With the support of wonderful family members and dear friends, Lisa continued on a daily basis to FIGHT in hope to DeFEAT her cancer. Unfortunately, Lisa's battle was too much for her to win.
Lisa, was a neighbor, co-worker, volunteer coach, and friend who always was willing to help and support. Our goal is to no longer to raise funds towards Lisa Fight against cancer but to live her memory thru future contirbutions towards community programs.
Many people have asked to help Lisa and have helped in so many ways, I hope this site is also a way the many people whose lives Lisa has touched over the years but now live so far away can help in addition to the local fund raising events. In the next few weeks/months you will see other sources of ways each of you can help support this mission.
We're currently looking into future activities that Lisa enjoyed and perhaps you can help by joining us towards a future run or a sponsorhip that is being organized in her name. Additional details will be posted at a future date.
