Mexican restaurant vandalized

$1,500 goal

Campaign created 10 months ago
Im starting this goal for my sister, a Jessica Torres, who opened her Mexican restaurant La Escondida Mexican Grill in Madison Wisconsin, 9 months ago. On May 10th, 2018 Jessica was driving past her restaurant as she drove her kids to day care and noticed that her front door was broken. When she entered the restaurant, she noticed more damage done inside.

As many might know, May 10th is mother's Day in Mexico, my sister is a Mexican mother and was celebrating her special day early in the morning with her kids, before seeing this sad and horrible scene. Jessica works so hard to keep her business up; from sacrificing summers with her kids and working 10+ hours in it daily and gives back food to the homeless in the community.

Her TVs were broken and bottles were smashed and moved to the kitchen, the surveillance camera was smashed and the DJ laptop used for music during karaoke nights was stolen as well.

.These were hate crimes that might have knocked her down but won't keep her down, she's too strong.

I'm asking for your help, from our community to please come together with us and help us lift this business back up with your support. The money I'm trying to raise for my sister barely covers the front glass door's expense and labor, so anything helps. If you personally can't donate, I understand and appreciate you sharing this.

Thank you.
God bless.
