Jessica’s battle with brain cancer

Donation protected
On May 17, my best friend, Jessica, was diagnosed with a brain tumor.  She’d been experiencing symptoms for several months and they quickly worsened. One week later, Jess underwent a 6 hour surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible.  We are waiting on biopsy results, but the surgeon is confident that she has grade 4 glioblastoma. It is very aggressive and right now there is no cure. Jessica has amazed doctors and physical therapists with her strength and resilience right after a complicated brain surgery. Not surprising to her family and friends, as we all know how stubborn she is.
She is now settling back in at home with her husband, Ian.  Their four year old son, Colin,  has been staying with family and can’t wait to see his mom again. He is truly the smartest four year old I’ve ever known, and knows his Mommy is sick. They will need a lot of support as Jess heals from surgery and begins chemo and radiation. Her surgeon also has a trial that he wants her to begin this summer.
Please consider helping relieve some of the financial burden, as her medical expenses are adding up quickly. Most importantly, please keep Jessica, Ian, Colin, and the rest of the Greer, Goforth and Cole families in your prayers.  We believe in miracles and know this is in God’s hands.  “When you go through deep waters I will be with you.” Isaiah 43:2
