Lifting Up Our Tri Sister, Jessica!

Hi Friends & Triathlon community. My name is Christina from Morris Plains, NJ and I am just someone who saw a tri sister who needs help. As you know, Texas has been hit hard by Hurricane Harvey.

Many have been affected. It is my home state, and my heart goes out to the community. Jessica Noack Baxter and her family, including their sweet dog, Holly, were evacuated on Monday, 8/28. Imagine having a kayak pick you up, then transfer you onto the Sheriff hover boat then wading through water with your family (including two small boys) while your dog is swimming next to you. Leaving behind all your possessions but a few things you can carry on your back. It puts things into perspective for you. Jessica is a very giving person and it is now time for her to receive help from others. If you feel inclined to help, please do. The funds will go directly to help Jessica & her family rebuild their lives as they lost everything. Withdrawals will go to Jessica. Our initial goal is to raise $5K, then when we hit that goal, we will go to $10K. Every bit helps. 

Prayers are also welcomed. The one thing I know about triathletes, marathoners, and endurance athletes in general is that we are resourceful. There is always a way. Times like these bring out the best in humanity. ❤️ With deep gratitude...#TexasStrong
