Jesse Guel Burial Expenses

Jesse Guel Jr. was born in Houston, Texas on February 23, 1960 to Martha and Jesse Guel, Sr.. He Passed away from diabetes complications on his birthday Feb 24, 2017. Beginning with a kidney transplant that he was fortunate enough to get (and which extended his life and quality quite a bit), enduring blindness and ultimately an amputation of his leg, he has continued to endure multiple bouts with gangrene, foot surgeries and other surgeries to stave off the negative effects of the diabetes but After a lengthy battle he succumbed to this devastating disease  He leaves behind a devoted wife, Marlene Guel, of 39 years and his precious son, Gavin, 13. Marlene and Gavin have been through quite a bit being both mother, wife, son and caregivers to Jesse at home for the past few years and by God’s grace we are hoping to ease some of the burden of a funeral by setting up this go fund me page.  Jesse had tried to maintain a sense of humor and hope through it all but in the end it was all about keeping him comfortable and surrounded by his loved ones. Our family and friends alike have always been there for him throughout this ordeal and we hope to make it easier for his wife and son to continue on without him. Any contributions are of course very much appreciated and hopefully we can make a terrible situation better. We ask God to bless his siblings, Ruth, Johnny, Shirley and Henry and mom, Martha during this difficult time as well including Jesse’s many nieces, nephews and cousins. If you know anyone with diabetes you know then the suffering that one endures when it goes bad and hope that God eases your pain as well.
