Mazama High School Robotics is going to the World Championship in Louisville, KY!!
My name is Jeremy Sonneman and I am a third year robotics student at Mazama High School. Every since I was last place at my very first competition 3 years ago, I have dreamed of succeeding in robotics. Dave (the custodian) and I have developed quite the relationship from me being at Mazama after school so often working on my robot. Sometimes I wave goodbye to him as he is leaving at the end of his workday.
I believe that the small parts to a robot is what makes it a little better than the competition. This has proven effective with the judges because I have earned the right to represent the Klamath County at the biggest robotics competition in the world. I am not only representing myself and my school, but I am also the first to represent the Klamath Basin in this spectacular event. I was willing to put in the extra effort to not just skim by, but to succeed.
When I went to the State Competition, I went undefeated and also won the Design Award and the Robot Skills Award. I triple qualified for the World Competition! I am a one man team. I have built, designed, redesigned, and programmed 6 different robots for my competition but it's never good enough. This is why I put in the needed time, effort, research, and commitment to have earned the right and privilege to compete on the world stage.
To make this dream come true, I need your help. I need to raise at least $3000 by April 10th. These funds will pay for food, travel, lodging, robot parts, and extra expenses needed. I'm very grateful for the $2000 from Klamath County School District for their support. Unfortunately, this is not enough to make my dream a reality which is why I need your support and help. Thank you in advance for supporting Mazama Robotics if you decide to help me represent my city on the world level.
