Imagine receiving the horrifying news that your only child had Leukemia (ALL) on Christmas Eve? That was the reality for four year old Jeniveves mom Jasmin.
Jeniveves was hospitalized at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland, on the night of Christmas eve. Because of the symptoms present, doctors rushed her to Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. On Christmas day, after several tests were performed, it was confirmed that Jeniveves had Leukemia.
The following day Jeniveves received her first chemotherapy session. Thus far she has received a total of 3 chemo sessions. Jeniveves has had several infections in-between chemo sessions. Her immune system is currently nonexistent and her body has had a really hard time fighting infections and recovering from chemo sessions. Doctors are being hopeful that she will fully recover but there is no doubt she has a VERY long painful road ahead of her.
Her mom Jasmin is a single parent and has not left her side. She is the sole provider and has not been able to return to work. If you can find it in your heart to help this sweet little angel Jeniveves it will be a blessing to the family and never forgotten.
