JENA'S NEW STUDIO EP

Hi there! My name is Jena. I am a singer/songwriter and worship leader. The past several years, I have been on a journey of stepping into a long time stirring to write and release songs. Many of you have been on this journey with me, and I am beyond grateful for your support.

NEW MUSIC!
I am excited to officially announce that I am making a second album (EP)! For this new project, I have the honor of working with Gabriel Wilson (Bethel Music, Lindy Conant, John Mark McMillan), who has an incredible heart and vision and from whom I couldn’t be more excited to learn.

WHY THIS EP
To me, this project is about way more than just recording songs. I am stepping into the invitation to make this EP, because with all my heart, I believe worship is a place of transformation. My heart behind this project is that people would encounter God in the lyrics and melodies of these songs and be encouraged in their journey of faith.

WHAT IT WILL TAKE
As vulnerable as it feels, I am taking the step to invite people to be a part of my process, because I value community and know I cannot make this project happen on my own. That being said, I would love to invite you to be a part of this project by considering giving to make it a reality. 

Breakdown
It will take a base cost of $22,500 to fund this EP. Here’s what this covers:

Pre-production
Recording
Session musicians
Mixing (depending on the mix engineer)
Mastering

A deposit has been placed and outside funds given, meaning I have $11,875 left to raise! There is the likely potential for additional expenses, so anything raised above this amount will go towards things like additonal production costs, distribution, marketing/promotion, and any unforeseen expenses.

-TIMELINE-
The process of conception to completion of this EP will unfold in several phases. We are just now heading into pre-production, which will take several months. From there, we’ll head into tracking (recording), then mixing, then mastering. A projected release date will become more clear most likely once we hit the tracking phase. I look forward to keeping you updated, which I will do throughout the entire process. Be on the lookout for posts, blogs, and the like!

-REWARD FULFILLMENT-
Rewards will be fulfilled at the time of or shortly after the album release. As aforementioned, a projected release date is will become more clear as this project progresses. For now, May/June will be listed as a tentative projection. I will keep you updated.

PART 2

Hi friends!

Thank you for journeying with me thus far in the making of this EP.  This has been an incredible journey of faith. I am beyond grateful for your partnership and in awe of God’s faithfulness.

Recording was a deeply impactful experience. The team I have been blessed to work with has been absolutely incredible, helping to capture these songs uniquely in ways I couldn’t have imagined. I am truly excited about this project and can’t wait to share it with you!

As I shared at the beginning that there would be the likely potential for some addtional needs as the project unfolded, I have a new goal to share with you as we head into phase 3 of the making of this EP: mixing!

OFF TO MIXING!
This summer, these songs will head off to mixing. Mixing is a very significant part of the process which truly colors the sound of the record. No two mix engineers are the same. It’s my heart to be able to partner with the right individual to best help capture the heartbeat of this project. 

NEW GOAL
Reaching the base goal has helped towards a portion of mixing costs, but because we would like to work with an outside engineer, there will be some additional expense. I now have a goal of $2,000 which will help cover this phase of the project. How much of this goal I am able to raise will determine to what extent we will be able to work with him.
