Jeff Crushes Cancer

My older brother Jeff is the picture of health. At 30 years old, there is not a day that goes by that he doesn't work out or eat healthy, putting us all to shame. Jeff played hockey his entire life and still coaches a Youth Hockey Team in our hometown of Canton, MA, in addition to his job at the Reebok Headquarters in Canton.
Jeff is such positive guy with an infectious personality. He is the complete life of the party with a big heart, and would do anything for anyone. To say that Jeff has been diagnosed with cancer is so incomprehensible and surreal. I almost feel like I need to keep saying it to believe it is real: My big brother has cancer.
Two weeks ago Jeff went on a trip and proposed to his fiancé. After feeling stomach pain on the trip, he went for a routine check up. Blood work and a CAT scan detected a mass on his spleen and was later diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Large B Cell with a Double Expresser. It was the scariest night of our lives.
What started as complete and utter shock over his diagnosis has now turned into a full-on, all-out fight against this cancer. Jeff is no stranger to game days, but now he is fighting the biggest fight of his life. We are celebrating that the cancer is only Stage II and is treatable and curable. Jeff begins Chemo Treatment and Clinical Trials this week.
